The Honourable Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, was honoured with the Nigerian Institute of Electrical Electronic Engineer (NIEEE) Meritorious Award for his contributions towards the Institute.
He received this award during the dinner session of the biennial meeting of the NIEEE held in Hotel Benezia.
The event which coincided with the Commissioner’s birthday was set aside to examine the power challenges and consumer rights in Delta State with the aim of creating awareness on the Consumer rights and existing laws to the benefit of the consumer.
Addressing the Engineers, Ejiofor stated that there are many who are competent in Nigeria and who have great expertise capable of handling high profiled jobs.
He however noted that many do not thrive in the Country for lack fund and equipment to carry out certain magnitude of work, and therefore urged the Engineers to sue for unity as that will enable them work together to pull resources together to purchase some of the equipment.
The Commissioner stressed that the time to exert energy for success is during the youthful phase of life. Hence he urged them to keep learning and improving on their skill to stay relevant.
- He received the award graciously thanking the NIEEE for the recognition and honour, while he encouraged them to keep up the good work, l pledging his continued support to the institute.
