Film village, Leisure Park Will Change Asaba – Okowa

His Excellency the Governor of Delta State, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, has expressed satisfaction at the level of progress made on the leisure park and film Village project so far.

The Governor made this statement during his inspection of the twin project in the company of Charles Aniagwu, Lawrence Ejiofor, Ifeanyi Egwunyenga, the Commissioners for Information, Culture and Tourism, Youth Development respectively and other government dignitaries.

He disclosed that it was his first assignment for the year 2022 because of the importance he has attached to it. The inspection revealed that the observation tower is nearing completion as well as the guest house, studio, artificial lake and more.

Acknowledging the difficulties and challenges in the area of funding and a few others, the governor said he looked forward to seeing the civil works and the greening of the area done by the end of February.

His Excellency also disclosed that the necessary equipment and games for the park have arrived in Nigeria and that installation should commence in February all things being equal.

He said he enthusiastically looks forward to the completion of the project as it would change the face of Asaba and indeed the state, giving room for further development and social agility in the environment.

Okowa stated that he would return for another round of inspection in February, hoping that the project would be at least close to perfection before the Esther holiday.
